A helpful base has the following…

• [ ] Entry area: a place to come in and dump items when you don’t have time to sort them. Maybe decorate with an armor stand holding a spare kit. A good spot for your sethome.
• [ ] Storage: give yourself lots of space and lots of chests. Use signs to label chests and sort items.
• [ ] Crafting area: this should be close to your storage, and have each kind of crafting table, including a loom, anvils, and so on.
• [ ] Enchanting area: make your gear the best it can be with an enchanting table surrounded by bookshelves. Put down some barrels so you can keep lapis and enchanting books nearby!
• [ ] Brewery: a good brewery has a few brewing stands, an infinite source of water, and tons of chests to hold all the potions you’ll end up with. I like to keep a barrel with books holding notes on prices for my potions, and inventory!
• [ ] Bedroom: just like in real life, you may want a place to sleep. Go ahead and dedicate a whole wall to an aquarium, there’s no water changes in Minecraft.
• [ ] Armory: armor stands are cheap to make. Why not make 20 and showcase all the gear you’ve collected? This can encourage you to make spare kits, too - they look so pretty.
• [ ] Trophy Room: show off heads from players you’ve killed, maps of bases you helped build, or rare items collected from mobs. Trophy rooms are fun and a good chance to get creative.
• [ ] Farms entry: easy access to all of your farms can be pretty convenient to avoid rain.
• [ ] Mine entry: again, why ever go outside? Build an entry to your mine right in your house. Just don’t forget a door, unless you’re okay with creeper guests.
• [ ] Nether portal: this one can be risky. One, piglins will come through and sit on your couch uninvited. Two, it can be a way for raiders to quickly find your base. But man, it looks cool.
